The following word cloud is a great way to let students see words and try to figure out the opposite word. The font is engaging and students can do this on their own.

I created the animoto below with different pictures, so I can share with students how they world is limitless. Unfortunately, I have the free version, so therefore it cut off some of the pics and texts, but if I had the whole presentation I use to inspire students to reach for their dreams.

What do I want my students to take away?

Creating and Using a Blog

I must admit creating this blog was not too difficult for the somewhat technology challenged teacher. This would be a fantastic resource for students to use in their learning. This is a great way to have students find their voice and blog about their experiences especially living in Texas. Many people from out of state still think that all Texans wear cowboy boots and speak with a Texas accent.   It is also a great tool to remind students what type of information to share online and what type of information should be kept offline.

An Online Community

Building an online education community is a fantastic way to keep abreast of new technology and teaching methods to helps us become better teachers.

I agree with most of the bloggers that education must be technology centered to create a better community.

School Dreams

What does everyone wish for their student? Success in anything they put their mind to. I believe that is why teachers become teachers because we see so much potential. We want to plant the seed and watch it grow.
